# Recall Alert: Honda and Acura 2017 CR-V and RDX Vehicles
## Overview
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) has initiated a recall for certain 2017 CR-V and Acura RDX vehicles due to a safety concern related to the Certification Labels. These labels were printed with ink that may be prone to inadvertent wiping away when exposed to an alcohol solvent. As a result, the affected vehicles do not meet the requirements specified in 49 CFR Part 567.
## Consequence
The potential risk associated with the Certification Labels being easily wiped away is that the operator of the vehicle may no longer have access to critical information. This could lead to situations where the vehicle is unknowingly overloaded, posing a higher risk of a crash occurring.
## Remedy
Following the recall notification, Honda and Acura will reach out to the owners of the impacted vehicles. Authorized dealers will replace the Certification Label free of charge to rectify the issue. The recall process commenced in June 2017, and affected vehicle owners are encouraged to contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 for further assistance. Honda’s designated identification numbers for this recall are KF3 for the CR-V model and KF4 for the RDX variant.
